  • Cleaning products will be supplied by the studio.

DROP-IN CANCELLATIONS
  • Drop-in bookings require a strict 24-hour notice should you need to cancel or re-schedule.
  • All late cancelations or changes of your group, private or semi-private bookings will have to be charged for and payments will not be refunded or transferred if the notice period is missed.
  • Should you cancel before the 24-hour cancellation period, the booking can be moved to another available day & time, subject to availability.
  • Refunds will gladly be accommodated, with 24-hours' notice.

MONTHLY DISCOUNTED PACKAGES
  • Payments must strictly be made before the 1st of each month.
  • If you've opted for the monthly discounted package (private, semi-private or group classes) and you miss a class, it cannot be carried over to the next week or month and you will forfeit that class.
  • In the case of an emergency, working away or falling ill, timely notice (24 hours prior to your class) of class cancelations will allow your future classes for that month to be carried over to the next week of that same month, subject to availability.  Due to a fully booked weekly schedule, should we not have an available slot, you will unfortunately forfeit your classes for that month. Apologies.
  • No refunds.
  • Our "No Refunds" policy applies to all (Pilates/ Dance/ Stretch/ Massage) monthly discounted packages purchased.
  • If you know that you will be away and will not be able to attend some or most of the classes scheduled the month, you may prefer to switch to the drop-in or 3-month package option.  In this case, at least 1 weeks’ notice ahead of that month will be required if you normally attend on a monthly basis.
  • The monthly class fee structure is calculated according to a flat monthly rate based on the studio being closed for 3 weeks per year, which includes public holidays. There will be a separate payment option for the December-January holidays, and you will be notified annually of the studio’s closure dates for the Festive season.
  • NB: The monthly discounted packages have been worked out to include the following: 1) We are closed on public holidays and therefore no classes will be held. Should your class fall on a public holiday, it will automatically be cancelled and will not be shifted to another day.  2)The instructor may cancel a class provided he/she is ill or has an emergency for no more than 2 lessons in that month. The cancelled class will not be moved to another day or time slot due to a fully booked weekly schedule. 3) Some months have 4 weeks, and some months have 5, which means that clients will receive 1 or 2 free classes in a 5-week month. Yay!

MONTHLY GROUP CLASS PAYMENTS AND CANCELATIONS
  • Please note, that space is limited to a maximum of 8 people per group class. In order to keep your guaranteed space in the class, your monthly payments are due on the 1st day of each month.
  • As most classes are fully booked, it is sometimes impossible to have a make-up option for your missed classes, even if we receive timely notice from you. Apologies.
  • We will continue booking you for the same group class every month unless you give at least 1 weeks’ notice (before month-end) that you no longer wish to keep it. Your prompt notice of cancellation allows for other clients to be booked for the following month and enables us to change or cancel group classes, if necessary.
  • Should you not be able to or forget to provide the above-mentioned 1-week notice of cancellation or interruption of the monthly booking, please kindly make a deposit for that month. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation in this regard.
  • If you accept the monthly rate option for your group classes, the money will not be refunded or transferred to the following months. This is in keeping with the policies of other studios in Cape Town.
  • Sessions may be transferred to family and friends. If, due to unforeseen circumstances you are unable to change or cancel your appointment on time, you may ask a family member or a friend to make use of your private time slot in your absence.
  • You may do the same for group classes but only on the condition that the person you would like to send in your place has done enough Pilates before to cope with the physical demands of the class. We unfortunately do not allow complete beginners in any group classes; this is to prevent injuries and in consideration of all the other clients.

PRIVATE, SEMI-PRIVATE, PRIVATE GROUP & FAMILY CLASS PAYMENTS & CANCELATIONS
  • As Everday of the week is fully booked, it is sometimes impossible to have a make-up option for your missed classes, even if we receive timely notice from you. Apologies.
  • Any additional sessions or classes requested after the due date (1st of each month) will be charged at the normal drop-in rate.
  • The cut-off time for cancelling or changing your private or semi-private booking is strictly 24 hours before your appointment. Please notify us of your Monday absence by Friday afternoon. Should you need to change your appointment to another time during the same day at less than 24-hour notice during a week or by Friday afternoon for Monday appointments, you may be required to pay for both appointments that day, as your original time could have been allocated to another client. The possibility of changing times is subject to availability.
  • Due to the studio’s busy schedule and the subsequent demand for regular classes, all missed appointments and absences will regrettably be charged for. Unfortunately, we cannot make any exceptions.
  • If you miss a class, it cannot be carried over to the next month and you will unfortunately forfeit that class.

3 MONTH PACKAGE PAYMENTS AND CANCELATIONS
  • This package can be purchased at any time of the month.
  • Valid for 3 months only from date of purchase.
  • Classes cannot be carried over beyond the 3 months. Any classes not redeemed before the 3-month expiry date will unfortunately be forfeited.
  • Please ensure that your classes are booked well in advance to secure your booking or spot in the group classes as most classes are fully booked. It is sometimes impossible to have a make-up option for your missed classes, even if we receive timely notice from you. Apologies. Bookings can be made 3 months in advance.
  • Group, Private & semi-private sessions may be transferred to family and friends.

  • Valid for 1 month only.
  • The masseuse has limited availability, so please ensure that your booking is made well in advanced to secure it.
  • Your massage/massages cannot be carried over to the following month. If you miss or cancel for any reason, it cannot be carried over to the next month and you will unfortunately forfeit that massage. An exception will be made to move your massage over to the following month, by paying in a make-up fee. The make-up extender fee costs R150 per massage.

IMPORTANT NOTES
Mobile Phones: Kindly switch off your phone before entering the studio. In emergency circumstances, you may keep your cell phone next to you during your class on a vibrating mode, but please take it outside the room if you need to answer it.

Footwear: Please leave your shoes in the waiting room. Socks are considered more hygienic in public spaces, but if you prefer bare feet, please make clean and healthy foot skin a priority.

Hygiene: Perfume and body odour must be avoided, especially if you attend the group classes as many people are sensitive to some smells and may even develop an allergic reaction.

Clothing: Please wear something stretchy and comfortable like gym wear or yoga clothes. Avoid zips at the back, belts, long jewellery.

Hair: Hair must be tied up to prevent it being left on the mat. Sweeping head motions associated with long hair getting in your face will interfere with the flow of movement and may cause neck discomfort the next day.

No chewing gum during class please. Besides it being very dangerous, it will break your concentration and interrupt your flow of breath.

Medical Clearance
Please note: As with all exercise programs doctor’s clearance is advised. Where rehabilitation from injury is required, your medical practitioner should provide us with a written permission, report and recommendations. We believe in a holistic and positive approach.
We have a great respect for your health and for the heritage of Joseph Pilates and we hope you will share it with us. Therefore, we advise all beginners to complete a minimum of 4 private sessions before joining a Pilates group class. Pilates has to be taught step-by-step. Not every exercise is suitable for every person and often appropriate modifications are required. This will help us to become aware of your strengths and limitations in order to achieve your goals safely and effectively.

Thank you for your understanding.
